RER Chapter 16 Part 1

Early Saturday morning, Chu Feng was ready to set off. The car to pick him up is almost here and he just needed to go downstairs and wait.  Rong Yun opened his eyes in a daze, with a husky voice filled with sleep asked Chu Feng: “Are you going out?”

 “Yeah.” Chu Feng walked over, tucked the quilt for him, and whispering, “Its still early in the morning, you can keep sleeping until you wake up naturally.”

    “Yeah…” Rong Yun replied softly, closing his eyes and preparing to continue sleeping. The weekend is a good time to sleep in so it shouldn’t be missed but knowing Chu Feng is not here today somehow he felt a little empty.

    “I will put the meal card on your table, eat well, don’t save money. Wait until I come back in the evening so we can eat together at night.” Chu Feng told him softly.

    “Yeah.” Rong Yun closed his eyes and answered. Hearing that Chu Feng would come back for dinner with him in the evening made his melancholy mood slightly improved.

    “If anything happens then call me. You won’t be bothering me.” Chu Feng smiled, “You are welcome to check on your boyfriend at any time.”

 “Who wants to check on you…” Rong Yun murmured and pulled the quilt up a little, blocking the corners of his mouth.

 Chu Feng chuckled lightly and didn’t disturb him anymore. He took his things and went out.

The bedroom was quiet again. Gui Heng and Si Xian were not there this weekend. No one would make a noise for Rong Yun to be disturbed. After a while, the sleepy Rong Yun fell asleep again.

The location of the advertisement was set in Director You’s private studio, where there is a very good set up available. Although the place is not too big, it is well enough arranged for advertising.

  When Chu Feng arrived the director was already waiting for him inside.

   “Director You.” Chu Feng greeted him first.

 Director You walked over and patted Chu Feng on the shoulder and said with a smile: “Don’t be so unfamiliar with me and call me Uncle You. Your mother said that you are willing to do this for me in the nick of time, which really saved me a lot of trouble.”

    ” I’d better call you “Director You” on the set. After all, I’m here to work for you. I will call you “Uncle You” when the work is over. It’s an honor for me to be your junior but it’s still better to be professional here in case I create problems for you.” Chu Feng smiled and replied.

  Private and business matters should always be separated, Chu Feng learned and acted on this principle in the past life, otherwise others would think that his work attitude was not serious, or he wanted to build relationships based on this familiar way of addressing others. In this circle, you still have to be proper and respectful when you address others and keep your eyes carefully open to avoid being criticized.

 Chu Feng’s words were not extreme but Director You was a little surprised. After all, he always talked to Chu Tang (Chu Feng’s father) about children, Chu Tang always looked very dissatisfied with Chu Feng. In of his few contacts with Chu Feng, he also found that Chu Feng was a very proud child and was somewhat rebellious. If these two points could be changed, Chu Feng’s appearance and family background would make him a good seedling to enter to turbid soil the entertainment industry. When he saw Chu Feng today, although Chu Feng had just said a few words, he could already feel that Chu Feng’s sense of rebellion seemed to be gone and the person seemed to be just steady and proud.

 “Okay.” Director You smiled and took a document from the table and handed it to him, and said, “This is the contract.  You take a look at it. If there is no problem, sign it. We are ready to start work.”

“Okay.” Chu Feng took the contract and signed it directly without looking at it, which made Director You very happy.

    He smiled at Chu Feng and said, “Why didn’t you look at it a little longer?”

   “No need.” Chu Feng said, “You are a well famed director and you won’t cheat me.”

He actually did this because, first, it would make Director You think that he completely believed him and leave a good impression. Second, his mother must have read this contract, and he really doesn’t need to do anything extra.

  “Good boy.” Director You laughed. Chu Feng’s words obviously pleased him, “Let’s go, I’ll take you to the dressing room and tell you the content of the advertisement by the way.”

RER Chapter 15 Part 2

    After they finished shopping and returned to the bedroom, Si Xian was already working on his homework, and Gui Heng was on a call in the corridor. He was mysterious and Chu Feng didn’t know who he was calling.

    Chu Feng first asked Rong Yun to take a bath, then he took his cell phone out and contacted his mother her about the tutor. She sent him the cell phone number of the tutor and he thanked her before saying goodbye and calling the tutor.

  The other party was connected quickly and was a boy with a very gentle, clear voice. After Chu Feng first introduced himself, he asked about the other party’s school, major, and teaching experience. The other party didn’t feel dissatisfied and answered them one by one. After all, it is necessary to make sure the tutor is professional. The other party should inquire more carefully, and it would save trouble later.

  Finally, Chu Feng asked about the tutoring fee. His share was naturally given by his mother, so she did not mention the tutoring fee to him. Chu Feng asked about it not to pay for it himself, but for Rong Yun since he wanted to bring Rong Yun with himself for tutoring.

The other party told Chu Feng the hourly price. Chu Feng simply calculated and determined that this price was still affordable with his monthly pocket money and said, “I would like you to be my tutor. But I have one more thing to discuss with you before we finalize this.”

  “Alright I’m listening.” Came the reply in the gentle voice of the male on the other side.

Hearing this Chu Feng knew that no matter what Chu Feng asked, the tutor would try his best to satisfy it. He understood it must have something to do with the higher than usual tutoring fee.

 “I have a classmate who wants to study with me. He has better grades and doesn’t require you to spend too much time. We will come to class with you every week, do you think it is okay? I will pay for the tutoring fee.” Chu Feng explained.

    “Of course. As long as you don’t mind if someone divides your time with me, I have no issue.” The tutor had no opinion on this. In fact, teaching two students at the same time was more profitable for him.

    “Well, that’s alright. I have something to do this Saturday, so let’s make an appointment for class on Sunday. I will send you the address for the meeting place in advance.” Chu Feng arranged it according to his own schedule.  He knew that Rong Yun didn’t need additional tutoring in other classes, but his English and mathematics still needed more work.

  “Okay. Since you are two people, let me give you a 20% discount on the tutoring fee for the second person.” The other person is also a fair person and didn’t seem to want to take advantage of Chu Feng.

    “Thank you so much. Please don’t inform my mother about a second person joining us for our sessions. I will inform her myself when the need arises.” Chu Feng felt that there was no need to tell his mother. If his mother knew then she would not object but Rong Yun might still feel under pressure.

 “Don’t worry, my mouth is very strict.” The other party smiled.

Chu Feng said preparing to disconnect the call “Okay, see you on Sunday.”

“See you on Sunday.” After the other party responded, the two hung up.

When Chu Feng entered the corridor, Gui Heng was still on the phone. Chu Feng didn’t know what he was doing for so long, but seeing Gui Heng’s serious face, he didn’t bother him and went back to the bedroom.

 When Rong Yun came out of the shower, Chu Feng seated him on his chair, took the towel in his hand to wipe his hair, and said, “Go out with me this Sunday.”

    “Where are we going? “Rong Yun asked.

 “My mother found a tutor for me and I was hoping you would come with me.” Chu Feng didn’t hide it either.

 “Huh?” Rong Yun turned his head to look at him, thought for a moment but still shook his head in the end, “You can just go by yourself; I don’t need tutoring.”

    “I have just discussed with my tutor, let’s go together.” Chu Feng said.

    “I…” It’s not that Rong Yun didn’t want to find a tutor, but the tutoring fee was really not cheap, and he didn’t have the budget for this.  Chu Feng approached his ear and whispered, “I will pay the tutoring fee, and you will go with me.”

    “How can I let you do that?” Rong Yun frowned with disapproval. He really had to reason nor excuse to let Chu Feng pay for himself like this.

Chu Feng stretched out his hand and rubbed his eyebrows while saying, “Don’t frown.”  Rong Yun had to relax his facial expression but continued to look at him.

    “I will finish the commercial shooting this weekend, and I will definitely make the money needed for your tuition.” Chu Feng has a budget. Although he has enough pocket money, he can’t do a lot with this money.

 “That still…” Rong Yun was interrupted by Chu Feng before he finished speaking.

Chu Feng said, “I should pay for you now. After all, now our relationship is different…”

 Chu Feng’s words tickled Rong Yun’s heart like a feather, making him feel itchy and a little joyful.

 Afterwards, Chu Feng stopped lowering his voice and said, “It just so happens that you are going to help me listen to the tutoring lesson, if I forget to anything then I can ask you.” This high-sounding reason was naturally for Si Xian.

    “All right?” Chu Feng asked. Naturally, Rong Yun had no reason to refuse now, and he was happy to have the opportunity to stay with Chu Feng on the weekend.

 Chu Feng then asked Si Xian if he wanted to be with them. In fact, this sentence just so that Si Xian didn’t think too much about it, and he didn’t really mean to let Si Xian be with them. He also knew that Si Xian would not take tutoring with them, after all, it is better to teach one-on-one.

    Si Xian refused saying that his family had already found a tutor for him. Although his results are also good, things that should be consolidated should take more energy and time to consolidate and the tutor he found was helping in this greatly.

    Chu Feng didn’t say much. Thinking of going to class with Rong Yun on weekends, Chu Feng felt that this decision was right. He might be less motivated to go alone in the later period, but with Rong Yun, he would be particularly active. “Even if you don’t do it for yourself, you have to do it for Rong Yun,” Was what he was thinking.

Hi everyone, I haven’t dropped this novel but Covid-19 hit me hard with the online classes and exams and getting sick. Also I don’t exactly have the best internet over here so it mostly just stressed me too much to juggle translating along with my studying and dealing with being sick. I’ll try to update more regularly by dividing chapters by parts so please look forward to it.

Chapter 15 part 1

Chu Feng still brought Rong Yun to the cafeteria for dinner. Gui Heng and Si Xian were also with them. The four of them ate together since they were all used to it by now.

 Chu Feng had also gradually figured out Rong Yun’s eating preferences. Rong Yun was not an absolute carnivore like most boys. Instead he liked a reasonable combination of meat and vegetables. Generally, if there are three dishes, only one meat dish is enough for him. As for vegetarian dishes, Rong Yun wasn’t picky about food and he usually ate whatever Chu Feng gave him.

 Putting a piece of ribs on Rong Yun’s plate, Chu Feng asked him, “Are you going home this weekend?”

    “I already went back last week. I want to stay at school this week and study.” Rong Yun replied in between bites. The school had self-study rooms, and the canteen also serves meals normally. Staying at school and studying would gradually become the normal choice for most senior high school students especially as they got closer to exams.

 “Well, I won’t go back this week either but I have to go out on Saturday and I’ll come back in the evening.” Chu Feng felt that he should tell Rong Yun about his schedule to give him a heads up.

 Rong Yun nodded and said, “Okay.”

“You won’t ask me where I’m going?” Chu Feng raised his eyebrows since most people in a relationship would want to know more.

Rong Yun shook his head, “You will naturally tell me if you want to say it.” Rong Yun felt that Chu Feng also had his own personal space and was not obligated to report everything to him. Even if he wanted to know, he still wouldn’t ask more, lest he appear to be troublesome.

   Chu Feng smiled and explained, “I’m going to shoot an advertisement.” If the advertisement is broadcast smoothly, everyone would definitely know. Instead of explaining it then, it was better to just say it now.

 “Advertisment?” Rong Yun’s eyes widened, staring at him in surprise.

Si Xian and Gui Heng also turned their eyes to him, waiting for him to explain.

 “Well, it’s a favor for someone I know.” Chu Feng didn’t elaborate. Both Gui Heng and Si Xian knew about his family’s situation, and the opportunity to be in an advertisement was big not enough to surprise. Rong Yun may not know his family yet, but Chu Feng planned tell him eventually in the future, mainly because he was afraid that after knowing about it, Rong Yun will not be able to accept it. After all, his mother’s identity was already surprising enough not to mention his father.

 Rong Yun knew that Chu Feng’s family was very well off  and some people in the class had discussed that Chu Feng is a rich second generation. But Rong Yun didn’t know exactly what the family business was and neither did other people in the class. Gui Heng and Si Xian, who did know, had strict mouths. The classmates who liked to gossip did not get anything useful from them.

    “Are you planning to enter the entertainment industry?” Si Xian asked him.

 Chu Feng smiled and did not admit or deny, only told them “That person asked my mother to recommend someone as a favor, and my mother called me at noon today. Thinking about making some money, I agreed. After all, it’s just an advertisement. It won’t take long.”

After hearing this, Si Xian nodded, “It’s really hard to say no in such a case. That’s OK, I’ll  have you sign five hundred signatures for one dime each and I will take it out to sell when you become popular. Hopefully  it will at least double in worth.”

    “This is too cheap for you.” Chu Feng smiled. As soon as he turned his head, he saw Rong Yun’s brows furrowed slightly, but on the surface it seemed that there was nothing wrong with him but instead of looking at Chu Feng again, he looked down at his bowl of rice. Chu Feng didn’t say anything, but just picked up some vegetables for him to let him eat more.

    After the meal, Chu Feng took Rong Yun to go to the supermarket. When he came back last weekend, he only brought the food his mother asked him to bring to Rong Yun. He ate it that night. There were no other snacks in the dormitory, and no milk. It just happened that there was not so much homework today, so he wanted to bring Rong Yun to go and buy some snacks and milk.

 Walking on the road, Chu Feng looked at Rong Yun, who had been silent, and asked, “Are you unhappy?” He intuitively felt that Rong Yun’s silence was related to him saying that he was going to shoot an advertisement.

   “No.” Rong Yun followed him, still not looking at him.

Chu Feng stopped to look at Rong Yun seriously, “In many things, I may not be careful. I hope you are happy, no matter when, so when you are unhappy, you must tell me and not let me guess because  I can’t guess it every time, okay?”

 Rong Yun also stopped, looked up at Chu Feng, and said awkwardly, “I’m not unhappy. Its just that… you really want to enter the entertainment industry in the future?”

 “If I say yes, would you object to it?” Chu Feng was very concerned about Rong Yun’s thoughts. Since he was determined to continue this path in the future, he had to talk about this with Rong Yun.

 Rong Yun lowered his head and whispered, “There will be many beautiful people in the entertainment industry…”

Chu Feng was amused by him. There are indeed a lot of temptations in the entertainment industry. Rong Yun was uneasy because he cares too much about him. Chu Feng took Rong Yun’s hand and said, “Rong Yun, wherever I go, the thread holding me will always be in your hand. So you don’t have to worry about it. This is my promise to you and I will always fulfill it.” The thought of a thread connecting them being in his hand made Rong Yun’s mood better instantly. Chu Feng was really good to him, he should trust Chu Feng more.

“Well, I’m just a little worried.” Rong Yun also explained.

  “I know. About the situation of my family, I think I should tell you a little bit.” Chu Feng prepared to reveal a little bit of it as not to scare Rong Yun, “My family in engaged in the  entertainment industry , you may not know much about this, anyway you  should know that they own an entertainment company. Even if I don’t enter the entertainment circle, if I take over the family’s business in the future so I still have to get involved in the entertainment circle. Because of my family’s reasons, I have had a  better understanding of this circle since I was a child, and I also know how to be independent, so it won’t happen. You can rest assured.”

    Rong Yun was surprised. He really didn’t expect that Chu Feng’s family owned an entertainment company, and that the news that no one could find was what actually Chu Feng personally told him so easily.

“Rong Yun.” Chu Feng squeezed Rong Yun’s hand and said, “I will only be with you in my life. If one day you don’t want me, I won’t find anyone else.”

    “That won’t happen. That’s…” Rong Yun said anxiously, but he blushed after speaking. It seemed a bit too proactive to explain this to Chu Feng.

 Chu Feng smiled, “I can remember these words, you don’t want to regret them in the future.” He knew that Rong Yun would not change his heart. He had been a bastard for ten years in his past life, and Rong Yun still couldn’t let him go. Rong Yun was a very dedicated person, even a bit stupidly dedicated  making people feel distressed for him.

    “Um…I won’t regret it…” Rong Yun said softly.  Chu Feng looked around, then sighed helplessly, “I really want to kiss you now, but the location is really inappropriate.” They are on the road with people coming and going, which is really inconvenient.

    Rong Yun blushed, and dragged Chu Feng to the direction of the supermarket, saying as he walked, “Stop talking!” Chu Feng watched as the blush on Rong Yun’s face slowly spread to his ears, the smile at the corner of his mouth deepening. It was a pity that its really inappropriate to kiss over here. It would be very troublesome if it were seen by students who are also going to the supermarket. Chu Feng was not afraid of coming out, but it was still not the time yet.
